The format of the movie is
based off of the book The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. This
journey takes a box, rather than a rabbit, through other Newbery award
winning book scenes including Rascal, Dead End in Norvelt, The
Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, and My Side of the Wormhole. Last year's Newbery entry, My Side of the Wormhole, was an
adaptation of My Side of the Mountain.
